Monastero di Astino – 9.00 and 11.00 – Suitable for ages 11-18
Our knowledge of honey is often rudimentary and based on the fact that it is made by bees, is semi-liquid, amber in color, sticky and sweet, is a natural product and good for us. All true, at least in part, but with a deeper knowledge of honey we will discover a highly interesting and richly detailed subject. In this workshop our curiosity will be satisfied and we will learn the answers to: why do bees make honey? What is the role of the beekeeper? How does the honey go from the comb to the jar? At the end of the lesson, there will be a game to discover the myriad of types of honey.
