Eating is a complex sensorial experience. All our senses, as well as other non-sensorial environmental factors, are put into play to perceive what we are eating. Can we willingly influence the taste of a certain food? Are we sure we can trust our senses? Can the brain be tricked into not recognizing certain tastes?
