Plant diseases and insects have damaged crops throughout the history of mankind. They have always been a subject of study as well as a curiosity, from superstition to modern science.

Marco Boriani, entomologist, agronomist and phytosanitary expert, will illustrate the evolution, from the Middle Ages to present day, describing the role that plant diseases and insects have played in the history of Italy. He will present new and unpublished studies, all with a unique approach.
