Tea has had extraordinary ties to various countries and cultures, evolving from a poor beverage for monks to a drink for religious ceremonies, mundane occasions, simple meals, or a refreshing break from work. All this in a modest, basic, refined, elegant, and aromatic cup of tea.

In depth focus: Green Tea: perfume of the Orient

In the Orient, the word tea signifies green tea, usually Chinese. It might seem limiting to have only one type of tea but there are numerous types of green tea with a rich assortment of tastes, aromas, appearances, and ways to drink it. In this meeting, we will get to know the main types of tea, Chinese, Japanese and from some emerging countries, discovering their daily consumption habits or their unique rites. This evocative journey to exotic destinations will be experienced through the aromas of the teas that will be tasted.
